New Year Escapade in Penang (This is not BRATs)

Sorry for the late updates, dear readers. I have an announcement to make: My post-STPM travelling days had finally ended.


Oh… Hello pollution! Hello jams! I’m back in KL!!


How I loath thee, o kiasu drivers~! I miss travelling around aldy..T.T.. On the bright side, I can blog jor.. Ah well, most of the long breaks in between is because I have so much in my mind I don’t know which to blog about.. Or put it simply, I tried (but fail) to recall sequence of events. But don’t give up on me!! I’ll be goooodd now and update as often as I can...

I celebrated 2009 in Penang… Incidentally, it is also my last trip before going off to college. And this time, I'm with my best friend+church friends!! This is also the first time I traveled without any adult supervision, wee~! Deniece and I agree to gabung post this time. My post is the continuation of hers, so click here for Day 1!

Day 2

We played kite till 1am last night in the morning, yet Kam Yee was up and sight seeing at 7.30am!! That wonder woman ar.. She doesn’t even have eyebags to show~ We had a hard time pulling Deniece out of the bed, like the last night in her house. But this time we had a secret weapon on hand...Plushie!! Chick 2 Leonard threw Patrick into her face and she woke up shrieking, “ARRRRgh!! Patrick is smokey!!” Uuu~ that was easy!! Ahh, just wished I had think of that tactic earlier on.


First stop of the day-Botanical Garden. Kam Yee went high and was raving on about 'revenge' and ‘chasing the monkeys’. They were lots of mean lookin’ monkeys there, and more tourists feeding them. HeLLOoo people, can’t you read the DO NOT FEED THE MONKEYS signs pasted, oh I dunno... everywhere?!? Geez, you’ll think that those smelly animals are their best friends. Tai Wern did not dare to take out the camera in case the monkeys decided to hamsap him and ‘borrow’ it, so we didn’t take pictures there. But oh oh..!! You should see this monster!! He had the biggest tes- ahem… male reproductive organ ever seen weh!! It’s a wonder he could scamper about without…well, you know, hindrance. Kam Yee was so fascinated by Big Ahem that she chase it around, and promptly ran back screaming when it show its teeth.


In fact, the whole trip was punctured with deafening reserved for life-and-death-situation screams…
“AhhHH!! It’s a bee!!” “AhhHH!! It’s a cat!” “AhhhHH!! It’s something furry and cute and alive!!”


It was drizzling, so we were kinda lazy go on walking. As soon as our ears recovered, we were off to the toy museum! There were lotsa lotsa lotsa...

MUST intro you to my childhood characters.. See, the long black hair one is SailorMars, the yellow haired with red bow is SailorVenus, while the green one beside my head is SailorJupiter! If you observed closely, you can see a mini size Sailormoon and Chibimoon.
Don't ask me why they mini-sized the main characters.. 'bit silly (I mean the toy museum manager, not me.. Don't be rude~)...

Later we curve our way to Batu Ferringgi beach… Sip Sip Queen didn’t want to swim, and Frosty King didn’t bring extra clothes to get wet in. So left us 3 to entertain ourselves. And we rode the banana boat!! It was the only thing I could afford anyways… It was the first time I ever ride a banana boat, and I was excited giler!! But in the end, we only fall once though, excluding Leo.

We saw a parachute passing by...

…and started waving enthusiastically at it~

But a li’l too enthusiastic for Leo’s case. One moment he was there, the next moment… *scream*(me) *squeeeeak*(skin sliding against rubber) *ka-splash!*… Man overboard!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Boatboy was blissfully unaware with his leg cock up until Deniece and me yell ‘STOP!!’x100 at the top of our lung.. By that time Leo had been left far far away. Smackin’ boatboy… Lucky we are in the sea, or I’ll use a well aim brick to attract his attention instead. =.='

At the end of the ride we let go la so at least we can ‘overturn’ once.. It was bit disappointing lar at the overturning part, but it was still quite fun for first time experiencer like me~

Deniece, since you are an old timer, kau sai on you to take me for a more fun bananaboat ride, ok? hehe…

At night, we stroll around the rows and rows of shops selling fake goods. Sip Sip Queen turn into Shopping Queen and went into a shopping frenzy~ Ok la, I also did went mad…a bit. Have ter test my bargaining skill mer.. Bargaining is a must in Penang anyways, for every Penang folk haggle. It’s like a competition, you see, who can go lower than the lowest. Dad was telling me some Penang friends of his came to KL and tried to bargain in the supermarket.
Get wad I mean?

In the middle of pure shopping bliss it started raining! Argghh!! Wait, was it raining before shopping??? Aii, somewhere there la… Same icky wet stuff anyway~ We were forced to dive for shelter of a food court.

Grew bored waiting for the rain to stop, so we sissified Tai Wern!!

Wasn’t really extreme cos we are in public place… Didn’t want to ruin Tai Wern’s reputation ma…hehe~ Later all the gays charge into our motel and the receptionist give us THE GLARE and ‘SHH’ us again…
